Worldpay UK has over 400,000 customers ranging from SME/Owner Managed retailers through to some of the retail corporate giants. Understanding and predicting current and future business performance is critical to the WPUK Exec team, impacting immediate, short and long term planning. Within this team, you will develop an understanding of key business drivers enabling production of data driven analytics and actionable insights for the leadership team. Retaining a strong grip on financial control and financial management, you will also contribute to the ongoing development of policies and processes ever increasing the reliability and accuracy of reported figures.


What can I expect to be doing on a day to day basis?


Develop KPI, milestone reporting and track performance to support effective decision making

Leverage MI and draw on knowledge to deliver ad hoc decision support and deep dives

Review financial performance against prior year, budget and forecast, understand trends and come up with recommendations on risks and opportunities

Support the development of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and targets

Ensure the accuracy and robustness of Other Income such as PCI, Amex, and transformational products

Comment and input into presentation of monthly results including variance analysis and business insight

Ensure that effective processes exist around revenue, costs and associated balance sheet

Build strong working relationships with sales and management to optimise financial performance

Challenge new agreements and represent the Commercial Finance team at various working groups

Liaise with and effectively leverage WPUK and Group Finance teams to include Business Analyst team and Financial control

Deputise for the SME & Partnerships Finance Business Partners



What will make me right for the role?


You will have a strong academic background, educated to degree standard ideally with exposure to producing / reviewing balance sheets and financial statements. Confident with Excel for reviewing financial data, exposure to Oracle / Hyperion Financial Management would also be beneficial. This position would support an individual working towards achieving a finance qualification (CIMA / ACCA). Strong attention to detail, a high level or organisation and a commitment to delivering excellence on time are the typical character traits for success in this position.
