What will I be doing on a day to day basis?
You will work as part of a high quality legal team providing global legal and commercial support across a growing and developing business. Engaging with Business Development Managers and Relationship Managers you will directly support the sales processes, product development processes and helping to structure deals along with drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and providing general and payment regulatory specific legal advice. You’ll draft and negotiate a wide variety of standard commercial contracts for the payments industry, including Merchant Services Agreements, NDAs, Accession Agreements, Cross Sell and UpSell Agreements, Software Development Agreements, Platform Integration Agreements, Revenue Share and technical partnership arrangements, Cloud and Software as a Service Agreements, Security Agreements and APM Agreements as well as assist in complaints and control processes.
What will make me right for the role?
International lawyer with non-uk legal qualification required (with willingness to dual qualify in the UK preferred) and with experience working in different jurisdictions and working with different nationalities. You’ll be able demonstrate a good understanding of the legal issues affecting the payments industry, commensurate with time spent in payments, including Data Privacy (including GDPR, PCI DSS), PSD2 and FCA Regulation and other international equivalent regimes, Intellectual Property, Financial Crime and Anti Money Laundering Requirements. You must demonstrate a good understanding of Worldpay’s products.
